...The Challenge Bibendum was born out of the will of all the players in the automobile world, from manufacturers to energy suppliers, as well as their technical partners, to enhance and clarify the current debate concerning sustainable mobility. Such an approach is essential if we are to accelerate the promotion of road mobility to meet the energy, environmental and human challenges of tomorrow.
The contest between the different energy sources takes place within the framework of a friendly, but perfectly defined competition. The vehicles are evaluated in real driving conditions, using precisely defined criteria (choice of performances related to the environment and overall vehicle safety). Conferences, debates and an educational information center set up in partnership with the event’s participants complete this technological competition....
